Although it will be hard to top last years Kaz Sasaki hurting himself carrying luggage and the guy on Jacksonville Jaguars chopping off his leg with an axe, let us decide what is the best/worst/funniest injury of this young baseball season.

Sammy Sosa breaking his back by sneezing!

Garrett Anderson's mysterious back ailment.

David Wells severing a tendon "at home"

Obviously, Boone playing basketball and the resulting effect.

Andruw Jones finally hitting something - Marcus Giles!

My vote goes to Giles/A Jones. This one seems to be one of the more serious injuries, and it happened to a player at the weakest position.

Honorable mention goes to G Anderson, b/c he looks like he'll be out a while too.

Simply the Greatest (from a Yankee fans standpoint at least): Aaron Boone hurting his knee allowing A-Rod to come to New York. And the funnier thing is that Boone will probably be playing 2B for us come August!!

The axe thing in the Jags locker room was completely unbelieveable . Even with all the stupid things that people do, that one definitely ranks right up towards the top.

Note on Sazaki's injury from last year: the luggage thing was about as truthful as Kent's truck washing injury that turned out to be a motorcycle mishap. In actuality, Sazaki was injured wrestling a la WWE, but the Mariners didn't want this to become public.

Got that from an extremely solid source who is dead on with what he gives me as a rule. And as it turns out, this story has apparently now been confirmed and reported back in Japan from what I understand.
