Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - The New York Yankees activated pitcher Felix Heredia from the 15-day disabled list Tuesday and designated pitcher Donovan Osborne for assignment.
Heredia, on the DL with a bruised left index finger since April 17, has yielded six earned runs and five hits in 3 1/3 innings of work this season. He did not allow a run in three relief appearances for Triple-A Columbus, holding opponents to a .154 average.
Osborne was 2-0 with a 7.13 ERA in nine games for the Yankees this season, including two starts.
