When will Figgins be eligible at 3b, in Yahoo?

figgins had always been a second basemen until last year. this current trend of managers thinking that since second basemen are fast, they can [i]obviously[/i] play the outfield. look at eric young, craig biggio, and then all the speculation of soriano playing in the OF. im sure there are more that im forgetting.

IMHO, that is just a small part of it. I think that it has more to do with guys who are good athletes but don't have the footwork or hands to play the IF every day.

It will be quite awhile I think before he qualifies (if at all). Until Salmon or Anderson gets back I don't think Figgins will be playing much infield. Halter will likely continue to be the main Glaus replacement.
