H. Matsui, B. Williams, J. Drew, J. Guillen, J. Gerut.

Points league.

Have the first 3 thinking about dropping Matsui and Williams for Gerut and Guillen. What do you think?

Considering everything, I would rank them like this:

Guillen
Matsui
Gerut
Drew
Williams

In a perfect world where everyone remains healthy...

Guillen
Drew
Matsui
Gerut
Williams

The real world..

Guillen
Matsui
Gerut
Drew
Williams

I tend to agree that Williams belongs at the bottom of the list (where everyone is placing him) but I just can't seem to come to grips that Bernie is really over the hill and not just having one of his pattented slow starts and about to turn it on. He just had a pretty good week. Could this be the start of one last nice season?

I hear ya and I have loved Bernie over the years. I was gonna comment that in a perfect world (as Pedro brought up), Bernie could be at the top but he won't. I expect decent numbers during the season but it is in the playoffs that he excells. I know that the sabermetricians will come out of the woodwork but he is solid when it counts.

In this context, it was meant to refer to those who look at nothing more than the numbers. Kind of a Bill James thing.

For anyone that watches Millionairre repeats, did anyone see the Bill James question on the show??

So you'd recommend dropping Bernie for Guillen?
