This guy is a workhorse. He was one out away from pitching three consecutive complete games. He's fanning quite a few batters this year, his ERA is under 3, and his WHIP is hovering around 1.
What are everyone's projections for him? Can he keep this up for the rest of the year, or are Livan owners facing a big letdown?
i think he is one of the more underrated pitchers in the game right now. he is especially good in leagues with no IP limits (like weekly transaction ones) I have him in one of those and have no intereset in dealing him.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

Yeah, he's been awesome ever since changing his arm angle last year. I expect him to finish with a 3-3.30 ERA, 1.15-1.20 WHIP, 180 Ks, 240 innings, but unfortunately due to the Expos offense and Frank Robinson's bizarre fixation with Rocky Biddle, only 12 or 13 wins.

I picked him up last year after another owner cut him to make room for injuries on his team and he wasnt putting up the numbers yet. About a week after I snagged him he blew up for the rest of the year. So I drafted him this year. Probably a lil sooner than I shoulda (rd12) but the kind of numbers I know he can put up.. such as his last 3 starts is why I did it. I've been asked what I'd like for him.. but as was said, I too have no intrest in getting rid of him.
I've been digging Livan for a couple of weeks. Even when he loses, he racks up a bunch of #s (we are doing 13x13 cats...) and has been very consistent, unlike my 'ace' Vazquez or the other guys I've got. Gambling on dice is fun but I am glad to have a pretty reliable pitcher that I got towards the end of the draft.
