ditto...
herges is an enigma. . . i think he will keep on closing, until he blows several saves in a row. . .
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

He is a piece of crap, but he gets me saves. As for the 7.09 ERA, he pitches very innings. Do the math, this does not have a really significant effect on your team ERA.
1.Roger>Randy this year; 2.New Yankee SP's = BUST! (again); 3. Bernie will cover the least amount of ground of any CF in baseball for 4th straight yr.; 4. Yanks = stuck with Giambi's contract; 5. Loaiza > any SP signed in offseason by Yankees.

Well, let's see.
I get a good chunk of 3.00 ERA out of Clemens and Wells, I've worked my way up to 6th place (of 12) on the Stat Tracker! Turn off the computer, have some dinner, watch Sopranos and Deadwood. Turn back on the computer to see if my Angels did anything in the nightcap. Whoa! I'm down to 8th place again, having lost 4 points. I look and see my good buddy Herg-ass blew the whole weekend for me. The idea that his awful performances don't affect anything in the long run is misleading, because it does. Not worth the few saves he gives.
