the most annoying part about the whole thing is that every day they say "furcal expected to return today" - i am now like 15 games down at SS - and i am sure as soon as i drop a decent pitcher to get some scrub SS, he will be back in the lineup

I have furcal in like 3 leagues, so i really feel this pain. i too would like to see him on the DL so i could pick up someone better, but looks like it won't happen.

Braves manager Bobby Cox indicated that there was no timetable for his return, but there were also no plans to place Furcal on the disabled list. "Right now we can use him the way we are," Cox told the Macon Telegraph. "We're fortified with everybody else. But as far as (Furcal) starting, no."

if bobby crosby is available in your league right now might be a good time to get him.

He's heating up, and has a very high ceiling. It also helps that he's going up against 2 of the worst pitching staffs consecutively during this homestand (tigers and royals)

hmm I picked up Jack Wilson as my backup SS...he's been putting up some ok numbers. but Crosby be a better choice?

Jack Wilson has been nice all season and bats at the top of the order, crosby bats 7th-9th depending on the matchup. but he's been red hot this last week, and has all the tools to be a breakout player. right now might be the beginning stages of a great season. plus he's going up against detroit and royals (as i mentioned) two of the worst pitching staffs in baseball. they are 29th and 30th in ERA.
