What is the opinion on him? Even though he sucked in minor rehab they still put him in the starting lineup, taking some of Uribe's at bats. Is he better than Uribe? Right now I have Uribe but it's frustrating to see him benched...

Looks like Uribe will play 2B and Harris will move out to CF for awhile, with Rowand being the one now that will have his ABs cut into, so hopefully Uribe, Crede, Valentin and Harris will all be safe starts this week.

jose valentin is a big part of that offense, and won't sit if he's healthy.

Valentin is a terrific sleeper for leagues that count OPS or extra-base hits and walks, and especially ones that don't count BA. He'll give you 25+ HR with around an .800 OPS, and maybe higher now that he's stopped switch-hitting.

Good observation. I was wondering why anyone would pick him given his avg. I wonder if he's overswinging with that 25HR to 75RBI ratio. That's not a lot of rbis for that many home runs.

he's actually not a bad hitting ss - lots of power for a middle infielder. i really can't stand the guy, he is SO BAD! but he does have power.
are any of you in chicago? watch the guy on TV - he swings at everything and he is a terror in the field. he is the shortstop equivilent of billy koch - even routine plays are exciting!
