Well, he gave up a double to Valent...then K'd two. Then the homer...K'd three more the next inning. Needless to say, he's nasty. Some of his pitches may be a bit hittable right now, but he usually heats up as the season goes along. I expect him to be at least a top 10 closer this year (conservative...I had him as #6 preseason, I believe).

Another nasty pitcher, Marte, is also pitching relatively poorly right now. I fully expect everything to eventually even out...

I tend to agree with this....this statement would suggest that Dotel is an excellent buy-low candidate which I completely believe he is.

Dotel buy low? He seems to be doing pretty well to me. I had him pegged #5 closer going in and got him for all of my teams.

I'm just saying that I bet he could be acquired for a great deal less right now than he is going to be worth over the course of the season...I love the guy and also got him for both of my teams.

2 blown saves in a week could certainly scare alot of owners into parting with him for less than they probably should.

hey no whining! at least you dont have herges.

anyway, I think dotel will be fine. The Astros will be a playoff team and he will have plenty of chances for save opps. I think he will develop into a great closer
