Roger Clemens is a Pitching God

Postby BobbyRoberto » Sun May 16, 2004 3:12 pm

So far today: 4 inn, 0 er, 1 h, 1 bb, 7 k

(He's on someone else's team in my league, so maybe that will jinx him)
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

His only hit given up was to the pitcher so far. 8-o

Hopefully your jinx works.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

One overlooked issure here is Clemens once again is pitching great vs a horrible offense. I agree he's pitching great, but don't get to excited that he keeps this going when the good teams come to town....

Also what about Ginter his openant only 1 behind vs a much better offense!

Might win 20+, get the NL Cy Young, and league mvp the way he's going.

Just drove in an insurance run for himself.
