Just went on waivers in my league, worth picking him up or is it a forgone conclusion that he will eventually lose his job to LaTroy Hawkins?

Definitely worth picking up IMHO. Borowski will get his stuff together and then all this Hawkins talk will dissapear.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I certainly think he's worth picking up, on two conditions. That you have both a need for saves and you have someone you can afford to drop. However I don't agree that he will absolutely get his act together and get back to last years stats. Scouts have said constantly that his velocity is down 4-6 mph from last season and with Hawkins around he might very well be moved into a set-up role, or even long relief if he continues struggling.......

Borowski and Hawkins are available in my league?

Which one would you pickup if you'd have only one spot available?
And would you pck one of them before Valverde,Betancourt,Adams?

I'd take Valverde, he's got the job right now and has done great as a closer. Over a k an inning too.
