He is avialable in my league. Worth picking him up in place of Josh Phelps? My home runs are great but I do need some speed and better average. However Phelps might get more RBI's (hitting after Delgado)

Yeah. If you're all set with power than Winn is a good pickup. He'll hit for average and this is the perfect time since he's starting to heat up. He should be able to grab 20-25 bags too but he hasn't run at all this year so right now that's a little worrisome.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I would hope there's someone better than Randy Winn available. He's hit well lately, on the road, but hasn't had a steal in a while. This week, he's at home for 6 games.

Look at his home/road splits:
Home: .145/.203/.200
Road: .365/.444/.460

I wouldn't want him.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'
