Klesko for Mussina?

I would like to hear the opinion of the board.

What do you think of me giving up Klesko for Mussina?

The person wants Klesko to play 1st base. I have him in the outfield b/c I have Palmeiro and Frank Thomas on my roster.

My outfield consists of:

Klesko
Floyd
Sheffield

Bench OF's: Kearns, Randy Winn

My pitchers are:

Moyer
Kile
Ramon Ortiz
Mesa
Escobar
Urbina
Lilly
Beckett

He offered Buehrle, but I have countered asking for Mussina b/c I trust a Yankee's pitcher over a White Sox pitcher.

The deal sounds good for you - an ace would certainly help your rotation.

Mussina might be aiming a bit too high, but it's worth a shot. If your offer isn't accepted, add one of your sp's and one of the other team's bats to the deal. It might take a bit of tinkering, but getting this deal done would be worth the effort. Good luck!

Update on the trade.

I pulled my trade of Mussina for Klesko and I changed it to

Klesko/Kile

for

Mussian/Alou


I figure that Mussina is far superior to Kile and if Alou returns to form he can take Klesko's roster spot. I will probably start Randy Winn since he is hot, but if Alou gets hot he can be as valuable as Klesko.

Opinions? I like to hear from others.
