Ack bases loaded with 1 out and 6-4 lead. His whip will be ugly no matter what today, but lets keep the ER low. I know if he blows it, you'll all be on his case and like see, hes back to last years form. Please dont say that b/c this is first bad outing this season if he blows the save.

Grrrrr....I picked him up lat night in one of my leagues to replace Wagner. I hated to....and resisted the temptation to grab him all season so far. Damn!

But...WHEW...he got out of it just now!

He will get the save ;-D

However he certainly looked more like his old self today. Couldn't find the strike zone at all and when he did he was hit hard. Very luck to get out of that one.

Me thinks it could a good time to trade Jose. His stock will never be higher.

see, i told you people be like deal him now! You know his old form with the phillies was pretty good excluding 2003. 45 and 42 saves in 2001 and 2002 with 2.34 and 2.79 ERA, So he was pretty damn solid. Im gonna go out on a limb, and say he keeps this up.

Tough decision. now that valvarde has the closer's job it would be kinda counterproductive to make that switch. Maybe do a 2 for 1 trade.

As for mesa- I wouldn't be suprised to see him keep this up. He was money for quite some time until last year when he imploded. I think these quasi-meltdowns will be few and far between. I think he needed to get out of Philly more than anything.

Leyland said, "We thought we were getting a hell of a player, but Neifi simply did not perform well."
