I Think I Finally Got A Good One

Postby birty74 » Wed Mar 26, 2003 7:21 pm

This is a keeper league, 11x11, 9 team league.

Our stats are: Offensive- R,H,2B,3B,HR,RBI, SB,BB,K,AVG,OPS Pitching- IP,W,L,CG,Sho,SV,H,ER,BB,K,ERA

This is my third year playing fantasy league, and I think I've finally got a leg up on my competitors. Here's my team:

C: Pudge
1B: Thome
2B: Durham
3B: Glaus
SS: ARod
OF: Sheffield
OF: Berkman
OF: Damon
Util: Mike Lowell
Reserves: Derek Lee, Austin Kearns, Jose Cruz, Christian Guzman, Jose Valentin

7 Starting Pitchers: Mark Mulder, Matt Morris, Odalis Perez, Hideo Nomo, Ramon Ortiz, Oliver Perez, CC Sabathia

4 Closers: Billy Wagner, Keith Foulke, Danys Baez, Brandon Villafuerte

I had the first pick in a serpentine draft. My first five picks were: ARod, Berkman, Mulder, Glaus, and Wagner.

Whaddya think?

Do you see any problems?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Looks like a really strong team, even for a nine team league. You've got a nice balance of power and speed on offense, a great set of closers, and passable starting pitching. I can't see any reason to change anything. I might put Cruz in the Util spot instead of Lowell, but it looks good.

Looking again at yr categories, I think that you could use one more headlining starting pitcher. Somebody that could help you out with a couple of complete game shutouts. But I'm just nitpicking.
