Gibson gets my vote for a spot on the All-Time Overrated team. Ryan is the ace of the staff, but Gibson should have no problem being a middle of the rotation guy.

I completely agree.

I can't stand it when Ryan is called one of the greatest pitchers of all time (or, gasp, THE GREATEST PITCHER).

I respect a vote for clemens, but how can you say you don't vote for anciet players?

What if we had a poll or greatest hitters? Or even greatest fielders? Wouldn't you vote for Ruth?

Any specific reason why Tav? Gibson is at least in top 20 SP of all time in my book.

Thats pretty close to where I have him ranked (around 20) but there are a great number of people who have him top 10 or even top 5 All-Time.

Top 10 I could see top 5 seems like a stretch but people tend to overemphasize K's and post-season success.

I'd take Gibson and Maddux over Kid Nichols.
