Im starting to think his problem is simply he isnt getting enough consistent work. It seems as if he is pitching 1 or 2 innings a week or evvery 5 days, which for a closer or any RP for that matter is too little. Borowski has only logged in 11.2 innings all season and that is rather low.
Wut u guys think?

His problem is v-e-l-o-c-i-t-y. May or may not be because of consistent work, but it may not matter much longer. I figure Baker to give him another month, if it's not back.....look for a switch to Hawkins.
Yes, I am fully aware of his 20 straight conversions. With Remlinger coming back, Borowski may end up working out the kinks in middle relief.

I agree his velocity is down and that is a major problem, but the lack of work isnt helping its just making it worse

I'm a huge cubs fan and I also had Borowski last year. the thing is, Last year He was able to get that little bit of movement on his version of a back door slider. This year he's not getting that pitch over and his veocity as mentioned by the previous post is also down. He's Never had the Overpowering stuff to begin with , so when the one thing that did sort of work for him goes, He's 6th inning material.

I posted it in one of the other threads, but I'll repeat it here.
I'm pretty sure, and correct me if I'm wrong, that Borowski has converted his last 20 or so save opps dating back to last season.

you're right. However, it's JUST a matter of time that they'll be in a 1 run game and he's going to blow one with the way he's pitching now.
