I watched the game. I saw they pulled him and Wise had an AB late in the game. There was no mention of injury. It was raining and they had the game in hand. Probably just protecting him.

Lol.. it was 6-4 Atl. I wouldnt call that game in hand. Especially when you have Pujols,Rolen,Edmonds,Renteria in a lineup. Even though they did win it was anyones ballgame.

Actually it was 6-5. And if you saw the weather, the way the 'Cards were hitting, and the way Smoltz pitched. There was NO way STL was going to win today.

huh? does this make any sense? the cards scored one less run then the braves ... so they had no chance of coming back...from just 1 run. Smoltz hasn't been automatic this year.

and smoltz allowed a single by tony womack to right....which allowed the winning run to come to the plate in the form of edmonds...

rain played a factor in this game also....it was coming down moderately while smoltzie was on the hill....
