If you suck at 2b, Hudson might be a solution for you. He was a good prospect and is showing something this year. However, his recent ascendance up the yahoo rankings is due to and extreme hot streak. I don't think he can continue these power numbers and I'd expect him to slip down. But could he crack the top 12 of 2bman? Maybe
He is an alright option....I had been riding his hot streak, but I dumped him yesterday for Durham. I just can't justify taking a guy who hits 7th in his lineup over a leadoff man, no matter what the numbers are saying so far.
He's always hit well against righties but suffered against lefties. The difference this year is that he's hit decently against lefties and remained the same against righties. If he can keep it up, which I think he will, Hudson is a decent filler option. He could have 15 HRs and 80 runs and RBIs since he's got the starting job. Again, it all depends on whether he can keep his average up against lefties.
I see him play all the time...and he is only getting better. He has worked really hard on hitting left handed (not his natural swing) over the past couple of years, and his natural right handed swing has suffered. This past off season, he worked really hard on having both equal, and it seems to be paying off...I only see upside with him.
7th in the lineup...but look at the lineup? Potent offence, its nice to have that kind of depth in your 7th spot.
my utility slot is a revolving door. hudson won't keep this up, will he? drop luis matos for him? i'm looking for steals and runs. pop is an obvious bonus.
