Most of the time busted noses aren't too bad of injuries. It definately won't keep him out for an extended period of time.

Maybe he should wear that mask full time and just forget about the batting helmet instead... ;-D

Not the kind of news I needed to hear today. Ugh. :-/
Yes doctor, I am sick.

This sucks. At least it sounds like he should be back in about a week. We're definitely a much weaker team with Flaherty than Posada. Yanks are hinting that it was a dirty play. I was really mad when I saw it but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was dirty. More like an incompetant play by an incompetant player. :-t :,-(

Hey, why not, Olerud has that batting helmet on when he plays 1st...
Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...

Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

Well, I wouldn't say that. Amezaga didn't do anything wrong. Posada ran right at his throwing arm, what was he supposed to do? Throw it wide on purpose? Maybe if Posada wasn't 4 feet off the basepath he wouldn't have been hit. It was his own fault.

Nah but Posada was trying to slide and the guy throws it frigin submarine style right into Posada. Why didn't he just throw over the top?

Brandon Donnelly lost half his blood during spring training after he was hit in the nose while shagging fly balls. He was on the DL for some time at the beginning of the season. If hes in surgery that means he probably broke his nose.

Add Wade Miller to that list...

I feel like I've dodged some bullets the last 24 hours. First Tejada's injury gets announced as not being so bad and now ESPN is saying Posada may only miss a couple of days (no trip to the DL).

:-°

I'll look for an official announcement and post.

The problem of being a Sox fan with a Yankee on your team--I don't know how to react...

But, I do need him back.
I'm back. Sorta.

Do not boo Johnny.
