AL Only Keeper League Team

Postby pilambp » Wed Mar 26, 2003 9:59 am

Please rate my team's strengths and weaknesses. I am in a H2H 5x5 AL-only keeper league. I won last year, but I am trying to build a team that will repeat the next few years. I think I have a strong pitching staff, but could use some offense. Please rate my team and tell me what I should try to do in some trades.

You have a great staff even if your league was all mlb you have a good staff. Your hitting is alright. Maybe see what kinda hitter for Buehrle or Colon, but I don't think you have to do anything drastic.

Good team. Second base might be a bit of a concern - if you're also looking to build for the future, somebody like Brandon Phillips would look good in place of Ellis. A backup catcher would also be nice, but it's hard to see where the roster spot should come from. Love the pitching staff!

Those are good suggestions, and well taken. The problem is that second base and catcher are concerns for almost everyone in the league. Brandon Phillips and Victor Martinez both went too high in this year's draft for me to even get a shot at them.

Would this team be better or worse if I traded Mussina and Eckstein for Nomar?
