I was thinking...

It might be wise for some of you H2Hers to employ a Coors hitter strategy. Pick up a decent WW guy for Coors serieses each week...when the Rockies are away, have a guy you are cool with sticking in.

Look at some of the stats tonight:

C. Wilson: 3/4 2 homers 4 RBI
Redman: 2/5 1 homer 1 RBI
J. Wilson: 3/5
Hell, even Daryle Ward is 2/4

I don't know if this is practiced extensively yet, but it hasn't in my leagues...just a thought. I'm not doing this because I prefer stability.

I have been doing that with Charles Johnson & Ramon Hernandez. Hasn't helped much as both suck hind tit right now. Luckily, I was able to trade up for Piazza, so I don't have to sweat it now.

I say if you have the roster space to carry a bunch of guys who are playing at Coors at any given time, go for it.

Agreed - if you have the roster space (and aren't already loaded with stars at every position), Coors is a great place to look for spot starts.

I've been doing that with pitchers... see, in my league higher ERAs are better.

6x6 roto, categories included caught stealing, errors, strikeouts (for hitters), losses, blown saves, home runs allowed, and the like. Nothing too serious. Finished third in a tight race - my hitters simply didn't ground into enough double plays down the stretch. !+)

Just for fun, of course, but it did force owners to focus on stats they might otherwise have missed...

High score (or are we just looking at the leaderboard from different angles?). Otherwise, bench players would dominate.

LOL Arlo, that league really sounds fun...to be honest. It's interesting.

Matmat, I think he means "high score wins" as in, whoever's team sucks the most wins.

Basically, you have to look for players that really suck but don't suck enough to not start. Pokey Reese was probably a great pick...Mike Maroth was probably the pitching MVP!
