I'm just praying this doesn't devolve to the point where everyone has to bitch and moan every time one of their pitchers gives up 5 runs.

I think it's just a feeling people get that when they end up with bad results, they want to share it with others that also had bad results to make themselves feel better. I can't lie, I sometimes post things when my player sucks but it's mostly because by doing that, people voice their opinions about the player and his condition which allows me to analyze the player carefully.

That's cool as long as you don't drive yourself crazy. If that's the case, then the WW will have the likes of A-Rod, Sheffield, Jeter, Huff, etc. on it. It's a long season.
