To be honest, I have the game on TV but wasn't watching. (I threw caution into the wind and started Weaver on my team tonight.)

I don't think he got hit by a pitch, unless he was swinging at it in the process. He is 0/1 in his batting stats, so he had an official AB. Maybe he was swinging when he got hit by it though, making me think it would be his right elbow (not good news). But maybe he didn't get hit at all, and did something to it during the swing, but I've never heard of that much swelling without any sort of contact.

The Dodgers announcer still has no idea what is wrong with him. He was talking a bit about it last inning saying he thought he might have been pulled due to a possible injury, but they haven't had anything confirmed.

He didn't say anything about Wood being hit by a pitch.

this definately sucks guys. i have him on my team and he is my rock. Im not stressin just yet, they will be soo cautious with him (more so since prior is out) that if he has the slightest problem they will yank him. We'll see what happens. :-o

He didn't get hit by pitch, which makes it worse I guess. After all, HBP only gives you a bruise. -just what I think, not a medical opinion-.

Certainly not welcome news... I also have Jerome Williams, and my DL is full, with Mark Prior to name one... Let's all cross our fingers for Woods...

yes i heard it was his tricept, hopefully nothing serious because he is my work horse. Anyways whats up with that suspention and whens that kicking in?

He said he could have kept pitching but didn't want to risk further injury this early in the season. Doesn't sound too bad. ;-D
