McLemore activated, Menechino optioned

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics activated Mark McLemore off the 15-day disabled list and optioned second baseman Frank Menechino to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

McLemore had been sidelined since signing a one-year contract with the A's on April 5 with a right knee injury that required surgery.

McLemore is a lifetime .259 hitter in 18 big league seasons.

Menechino was hitting just .091 with one RBI in 13 games this season.
