I've started Jermaine Dye for the last couple of weeks or so with Chipper on the DL. I plugged Chipper in for the first time Sunday, because Dye had a day off. I decided to use that as my transition from Dye to Chipper. Dye started off hot, but has only gotten me one homer during that span. Well, guess what happens today, while he's sitting on the good 'ol bench...that's right...homer...

That's nothing compared to what I did last year. I had Moises Alou and Tim Salmon sharing my 5th outfield spot (deep league) and I had Salmon in and Alou on the bench the day that Alou hit 3 home runs. The next day I put in Alou figuring he should get one more and he did hit a homer, unfortunately for me, Salmon hit two of them on my bench. Correct calls would have gotten me 5 homers plus the rbi, runs, and average numbers where the wrong calls got me 1 homer. Oops.

Well, different kind of luck, but yea, I had halladay going real well and all of a sudden decides to give up 4 runs and his era boosts up to 6.75 from 1.80.
benched sweeney for jd drew thinking that halladay would shut down the royals. Lo and behold, he gets a 2rbi double while drew is hitless. Meanwhile, my opponent has magglio, berkman, glaus, victor martinez, and others who will racket up 12+ rbis tonight compared to my paltry 2 or 3 at this point. Also, leiter is gettin killed in zona so my pitching categories are takin a hit. Very bad way to start a week...
i set my lineup sunday night thinking that alvarez would get a second start considering his success last week and tracy saying he would start on the 14th, but instead it appears that he's going to be skipped this week... and of course, now williams leaves a game in which he was doing pretty decently and his second start this week looks to be in jeopardy...
