Is Jeter Hiding an Injury?

Postby Yikes » Tue May 11, 2004 6:14 pm

Question to all you guys in the New York area:
Is the reason for Derek Jeter's slow start due to him hiding an injury?

He did miss quite some time last season due to the separated shoulder. Did that shoulder heal completely or is he just trying to be a hero and play it through?

He also had offseason surgery on his thumb. I think a combination of the shoulder and thumb are still bothering him.

this is one of the funnier things I've read today.

I don't think the shoulder bothered him at the end of last season, so maybe the thumb surgery did him in.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.
