Crosby, what are your thoughts?

I haven't seen too many posts lately about Bobby Crosby. He seems to be in a funk, his plate discipline has slipped and his strikeouts are getting up there. Also the last few games I've been too he hasn't even looked that good in the field. His 3 HR are nice, but his avg. is below .200 now and steadily declining. Will Crosby turn it around by the All-Star break? I know its his rookie year and there is adjustment time to factor in, but my only other shortstop is Berroa, so I have a lot of youth, that I hope to cash in on in the comming years. Will Crosby rebound soon? Timeframe?

Do you think his recent knee injury could explain why he has been sucking it up lately?

Hes a rookie and hasnt been 100% healthy it takes time to adjust. I think he will be fine and wouldnt give up on him yet unless you are in a shallow league. He has some power from the SS spot which you dont get a lot of. He will be more than fine.

I still believe in his potential. I mean, his minor league numbers are too good to just ignore. He also did fairly well during the spring training. I still have my eye on him and I'm waiting for him to burst out.

if he doesn't snap out of it this week against Detroit and KC pitching, I am hunting for better options!

I too have Berroa as my starting shortstop. I picked up Crosby recently as insurance, but now have the opportunity to pick up Austin Kearns for Bobby Crosby. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

aww man Jeff you beat me too it! Well its still only 1 more HR, if this is the turning point then great but if not, should we expect him to hit under say, .250? I hope not.

I think he'll start settling down soon. As a rookie, he will be rather inconsistent, though. I think an AVG at about .270 is reasonable. 15 homers...
