It's been about 10 years since I've collected baseball cards when I was about 14 or 15 yrs old. I'm looking to pick up some of the youngers stars rookie cards but don't know much about the newer cards. Here's a list of some of the players I'm interested in. If someone could tell me which is the best rookie card to get for each player that would be great.

Beltran
Vlad
Ordonez
Oswalt
Beckett
Zito

These may or may not be the best to have, depending on your criteria, but I wouldn't mind having these in my collection... ;-)

Beltran: Topps Traded
Guerrero: Bowman's Best
Ordonez: Leaf Rookies and Stars
Oswalt: Bowman Chrome
Beckett: Ultimate Victory
Zito: Bowman's Best or SP Authentic

I agree with Arlo..

I have the Guerrero Bowman and then Oswalt Bowman Chrome and I won't be trading them :-]

But, if you plan on getting rookie cards for all of those players, you better have a big income! :-o

Thanks for the help. I've seen those cards on Ebay and they are not too expensive. Unless they are the psa or bgs 10's. Then they are a couple hundred each.

Anyone know what Bonds' rookie card was? What do they go for now? I'm thinkin 1984 update sets?

RCs in '87, XRCs in '86.
