Without looking at any stats: of the 11 runs that he has scored, how many runs has alfonzo soriano scored on the road?

Answer
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

Well, I guessed right. It wasn't really hard. If it wasn't 0 or all of them, nobody would be assumed to know without looking, and it would be pointless to ask. Arlington, or whatever it's called, is a hitter's park, so I assumed they'd all be scored there.

That, ladies and gentleman, is how to do well on a multiple choice exam in which you have no clue about the subject. A little logic is all it takes :-b

as I keep telling my students every once in a while... if I ask a question that starts with "how many . . . " the answer is typically 0, 1 or infinity.

nope. :)
nice try though.

see.. the thing is that if the answer to a science question is either 0, 1 or infinity there typically is a symmetry or other simple argument that can be used to find the answer that is not computationally heavy.

ugh, that's what Nomar did for me last year...big drop off on the road. I will have to pick a scrub up for those occasions.

Interesting fact. ;-D

Something tells me that it won't stay that way all year though. :-D

Well, true, Mad, but will a huge home/road difference continue? I imagine it just might.

One thing to note: Soriano got 6 runs in April, thats not very many. He already has 5 in May and the Rangers have played all their may games at the ballpark. He has just started heating up in the last 2 weeks and they have been playing all their games at home. Look for him to get some this week.
