Don't forget to take into account, I-Rod has been chronically injured the last few years, plus he plays the most physically demanding position on a team. As for the other players, I think I like A-Rod more than Nomar AND Buerhle, BUT, I think you need to give more info, such as type of league, your team strengths/weaknesses etc.
I should note that I already have Jorge Posada at my catcher position, so I-Rod could be used as either trade bait (most likely), or in alternation with posada. My pitching is a little weak...and my batting is very sold.
Agreed. This sounds decent, but it's close enough that it depends on your team's needs (and the league format, of course). The difference between A-Rod and Nomar can be anywhere from slim to huge, depending on your league's scoring. This might be worthit, though, if you can spare saves and need help behind the plate.
If you have Posada, I don't think it's worth it. You're not really getting injury protection from I-Rod. You don't need him.
A-Rod has will hit a lot more home runs than Nomar, so he's usually way more valuable.
Buehrle is a very good starter. I don't think you want I-Rod, and I don't think you should have to drop Foulke, but maybe you've given up on him already, anyway. You should know this about Foulke: "Over the last three seasons, he has a 2.98 ERA before the All-Star break and 1.90 ERA after it" (from The Sporting News).
Nomar and Buehrle for Arod straight up? Interesting, but I don't know. We're talking THE BEST fantasy player here. I have A-Rod and I would need more than this to trade him. He's truly irreplacable.
(Wrote that last post without seeing the one above it)
I also think that with Posada, you should probably stay put. It's not a bad deal, but unless you really need a starting pitcher, the return probably isn't quite enough.
