Just finished drafting my first ever team.
I'm in a head to head yahoo league with 10 teams.

C Lo Duca
1B Sweeney
2B Kent
3B Pujols
SS Tejada
OF Walker
OF Hunter
OF Floyd
Util Thomas
Bench Ibanez
Bench Pierre

SP Byrd
SP Vazquez
SP Weaver
SP Nomo
RP Wagner
P Urbina
P Williamson
Bench Burnett
Bench Astacio

I'm pretty pleased with my IF, but I think I'm weak (and hurt) in pitching. I'll probably have to put Byrd and Astacio on the DL. That should let me pick up 2 more arms (can someone let me know if that's how the DL works in yahoo?). I've been thinking about Sheets and Kip Wells. Any other ideas or weak spots people see?
Thnx

Hey Dude...

Your team looks pretty good...just some serious ???s about your staff. You might want to try to package Walker or Floyd along with Burnett to pick up a top tier Mulder type pitcher, who will get you 19+ wins with 175 ks and 1.19 whip...your IF is stacked, so try to leave that as is, but with Pierre on the bench anf your team less than stellar in SB's, I'd try to get him into the mix and at the same time strengthen your weakened pitching staff. Keep in mind that OF's are always easier to pick up on waivers than good pitching, however, don'y get carried away...

IF= ;-D

OF= :-)

SP = :~(

RP = :-[ [/quote]

Be careful with Sheets....he's def a big time talent, but look who he plays for. He'll get you some K's and a decent ERA, but no W's. He's definitely worth a shot, especially with your staff.
Don't really like K. Wells, he's not someone who'll provide you with points. Also, try to get someone to take the Big Hurt, because that's all he'll do to your team. HURT!! Good luck
