From what I hear it was more of a strain than tear but I can't confirm that. It could be worse.
I doubt we'll see Figgins out of the Angels lineup anytime in the next couple months.

Bad hammies aren't something you want in a speedy baseball player. Dave Roberts is suffering from the same thing, as is Jose Reyes. They keep coming back, so you're always going to have an injury risk with those guys.

It is said to be a strain right now, but an MRI hasn't been done yet. 10 bucks says it is a tear. Really too bad. I love the way Erstad plays ball. Hard, fast, all-out. But, I figure he's gone for QUITE a while.

saw it as it happened... it may have been a strain at first... but then he ran about 45 feet on it and tried to slide through the catcher . . . then he couldn't walk on it at all... if I had to put my money on it my bet would be a tear, and not really a minor one.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

Mat--I saw it as it happened too....I feel bad for the guy 'cause he really sold out his leg and tried to get home. (Sucks 'cause I could have really used that Glaus RBI!) Anyway, I have Chone Figgins and it looks like he'll be playing for sure now! He's looked very good in the field and could have gone 3-3 last night.
