What major league teams have the best infield? Take into account both hitting and fielding. After thinking about this I came up with these three:
Yankees: All-Stars all around make up for hole at second
Cards: Same as Yankees
Rangers: They are the reason I asked this question. With Young emerging the way he is, the ability that both Tex and Blalcok have, and with Soriano at a position that is everyone else's weakest, I thikn they might be top 3.
Give me your top 3 picks for major league infields.
Texas - Wow is all I can say about this infield..Soriano, Young, Teixeira and Blalock? Come on.
Cardinals - The reason DominicanLou gave for the Yanks...Pujols, Rolen and Renteria more than make up for any lack of a "good" 2B.
Royals - ( Yes the Royals ) They have a great all around IF
I omit the Yankees because we're talking all around, and Jeter's defense is just plain horrid, and the obvious gaping hole at 2B. The only all good all around player they have in the IF is A-Rod. Feel free to lynch me for leaving them out.
"Who's Karim Garcia? I have no respect for Karim Garcia. I have no respect for that guy. I don't have anything to prove to that guy. He needs to be forcing himself to come up to where I am, to my level."

Sure buddy. Is that Boston avatar clouding your vision?
the yankees have easily the best infield, except that they don't ever play it properly...

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

Obviously you are including defense here, but are you talking about:
Mike Sweeney (actually DHing more, Ken Harvey mostly playing 1st)
Desi Relaford
Angel Berroa
Joe Randa (excellent defensive 3B, but offensively, well...)
Benita Santiago
This unit doesn't even compare to the Yankees whom you rate them ahead of.
