Yeah, Roy is clearly tired and the pitch count is over 100. Just stupid.
Just walked in the tying run, great. Thanks Jimy. No win, but hopefully the reliever will at least get out of the inning so those loaded bases don't score and screw up his ERA for this week!
I actually agreed with the Astros coaches on this one, Oswalt was dominating but some bad calls lead to runners getting on and was still under 100 pitches, but it didnt turn out good because the ump screwed Oswalt.
Oswalt showed his opinion though after he got replaced he decided to throw the container that holds the gum/sunflower seeds onto the field. The 8th inning was fun to watch but horrible since I have oswalt
You can actually blame Oswalt getting screwed out of a win on the incompetence of plate umpire Gary Darling. This guy seemingly changes his strike zone on every pitch, and on both Oswalt walks blew several calls. Also, the HBP on Garcia never should have happened, because replays clearly showed he was not hit. Not only that, but Darling, who is the HOME PLATE umpire ruled it didn't hit him and then asked the 2nd and 3rd base umpires and they overruled the call. How the hell can a home plate umpire not be able to decide whether a ball hit a hitter in the head or not when he is standing right behind it?
One of the most shameful displays of umpiring I have ever seen.
