Surprise in Surprise?

Postby SweeneyTodd » Tue Mar 25, 2003 10:32 pm

I really have bought into the hype coming from camp that this staff can be of the same caliber as the Twins or A's rotations of the last few years. Maybe we don't have a Zito yet, but I think these kids have game, and at some point the pressure is going to slack and they'll get their stripes. The Spring showings for George and Acensio are promising. I just hope they can form a tight core of healthy young arms that grow and build this club into a contender for the AL Central. Then maybe in the next five years we can stop the lunacy of a team spending nearly FIVE TIMES our budget to buy a World Series.
