Safe to drop Sanchez?

My outfield consists of Burrell, Griffey, Jenkins, P. Wilson (when he comes back), Chipper Jones, and my newest addition (Endy Chavez - SB sleeper for Montreal if you weren't aware). Obviously, I don't really have room for A. Sanchez, and I have been making quite a few offers to get rid of him but nobody is biting. Does anyone actually value this guy very highly in the cafe?

I know he has the ability to steal 40 bags this year, but I really don't think it's going to happen. He has stolen 4 times, and been caught 4 times, so I don't think they'll send him nearly as often as many were thinking when they have a vastly improved offense that can drive him in. His SB% has never been high, so that is not a fluke.

I realize he's no Crawford or Pierre, but I pictured him on the same level as Dave Roberts before the season started, and he has done nothing but disappoint me. So my question is, how many leagues is he available in? I am trying to get a feel for who likes this guy and who doesn't. I would hate to give 40 steals to someone else in the league, but man he sucks, and I don't think it's just a slump because his average is around .300.

Endy Chavez is pretty much of a stiff. Can't hit. Once Everett returns, there's every chance he heads to the bench or at best a platoon. I'm no Sanchez fan, but he's a whole lot better than Chavez.

Well let's see....in 13 games, E. Chavez has 6 SBs, 0 CS. In 22 games, Sanchez has 4 SBs, 4 CS.

You bring up a good point though, is it a fact that when Everett returns, Chavez won't get any playing time?

If so, I guess you're right, I'll be stuck with scrubby sanchez.

Here's the reasoning on Chavez. Lefty hitter, and he can't hit lefties a lick. Eventually, Expos put Nick Johnson at 1B, OF (vs. righties) of Sledge, Wilkerson, Everett. That adds up to adios, Endy. He's also a lousy defender, so might actually get farmed out again once Bergeron is off DL. Just not a guy to own, unless it's a short term thing.

Alright, thanks for the insight....that's why I like to check the Cafe before making my moves. I guess I'll hold onto Sanchez....if you know a/b the Expos, do you know if Terrmel Sledge is any type or running threat? If so, I would love to drop Chavez for him, he seems to be turning it on...what do you think of him?

Dirty sucks...but Endy Chavez sucks worse.
