Dave Roberts just got placed on the DL

David Roberts Latest News May. 7, 2004 - 11:55 pm et

Dodgers placed outfielder Dave Roberts on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Wednesday, with a right hamstring injury.
This is for the best. There's no need to take chances with Roberts' injury. Jason Grabowski and David Ross can continue to fill in for him. Grabowski can lead off and play left field against right-handers. Ross will catch against left-handers, sending Paul Lo Duca to left field.

Well your not the only one, a lot of people probably just picked up Roberts expecting him to have a great season and now they are hurting.

This is the good news....Lo Duca has a hard time in the outfield....but losing Roberts is a blow...I was counting on him too..... :-/

JD Drew is my healthiest OF (never thought I'd say it)

Klesko, Kearns, and Cameron are my other OF's; having to use Ford, Cat, and Speizio. Surprisingly haven't fallen to far in offense -- yet.

I was afraid of this.. Last year it became a hampering injury and he was out for much longer then they first believed. I hope this doesn't happen again..

It was only a matter of time before he got hurt. Oh well, I hope you enjoyed it while it lasted.
