I started the season with Wagner, Mantei, and Biddle. However, Mantei's done and Biddle is horrible. I missed out on grabbing Valverde. All starting closers are taken.
Any potential closers that may come along soon that I should take?
There's a Jimenez in Cleveland. He may be in line for the job depending on how Betancourt does. If I were you I'd keep an eye on the Chisox, SF, and the Cubs. Something may happen on one or more of those teams in the next month or so.
Bluto: Over? Did you say over? NOTHING is over until WE decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL, NO!
Otter: Germans?
Boon: Forget it, he's rolling.

Biddles actually pretty good, he got a save tonight & i dont think hes blown many this year if any
however U might want to look at Nate Field in KC or Terry Adams in tor

yeah, but he's 6-6 in save oppurtunites, he gave up 5 runs when they were gtting spanked by the dodgers 13-4 a few weeks ago,
And it is known by all here at the cafe all closers struggle in non save situations when they come in
though this is fantasy sometimes u gotta dig a lil deeper my friend , thats what seperates the fantasy men from the boys
You make 3 good point...especially the last one...

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.

No doubt about it, Biddle is a stiff. But 6/6 this year and 34 last year gives him some roto-value and he doesn't pitch enough innings to hugely impact the WHIP/ERA (though he certainly doesn't help). I can't imagine why F Robby doesn't just give Cordero the ball, but as long as he's not, Biddle retains some worth.
Guy that may be worth a stab is Field in KC, who might get a shot with MacDougald being hopelessly inept right now. Field has been their best bullpen guy thus far. And if you have a DL spot open, there's always Wickman...maybe comes back in August. An extreme long shot selection, but if it only costs you an existing DL vacancy, can't hurt.

the problem here is that biddle is on the expos so he will get many more of those junk/non-save situations...his career era and whip are awful - 5.18 era, 1.50 whip, he never strikes people out...i just traded him away for these reasons (with valverde, and got huff)...if you have other closers and can spare him, id get rid of him because he hurts you in everything except saves, and if you are ok in that, maybe grab something/anything else, or better yet package him with some middle of the road guy and get someone solid - sorry off on a tangent
