Wow. I was totally sitting his sorry butt today against Oakland, but I came to the Cafe to see what others' thoughts were and everybody who responded to the thread I read was like "yeah, start Santana against Oakland...he should K the hell out of 'em! ;-D

Its early... Santana's pattern the last few games is to get hit hard early, then start whiffing everyone around the 4th.

Not a good start, but don't pass judgment too quickly.

I know. I love Santana...I just am trying like 30 innings over in my rotiserrie league and I'm trying to play pitchers on their best matchups and was planning on sitting him.

I already got a loss from Oliver Perez tonight against LA...didn't need Santana to start giving up runs too.

The problem with my staff is that I feel like everybody is too good not too start like 90% of the time...but they are not good enough to not get shelled here and there.

I've got to start sitting these guys at the right times. My ERA and WHIP are starting to creep up and the losses are killing me.

well oliver perez is most likely to get shelled on a regular basis, just FYI. he's a pirate, you know?

johan hasnt had a flying start out of the gates, however, he was good enough over the last two years to warrant staying on a team because we know what he's capable of if he snaps out of the funk.

My starters suck. I've benched all my starters for about a week now (none of them had a win anyways during that stretch) until yesterday when I started Vazquez against the slumping A's.

Well, guess what, all my patience got me was 7 ER right between the eyes.

Today I thought, what should I to do with Santana...well it's not against one of the big 3 again, so...what are the chances the A's non-big 3 pitchers beat Vazquez and Santana two nights in a row?

All I get is 3 ER right off the bat and more to come
