this is why i made it a point to draft carlos zambrano early in all three of my leagues.

last year i did that with prior and got heckled, but 18-6 2.43 yeah.

so next year i'm all over sergio mitre like a cheap suit.

people mocked you? The man is a warhorse out on the mound. He never seems to wear out and hell get you 5- 10 Ks every game, with a low era and whip. Hes got a vicious sinkerball and fastball. Hes a little emotional, but I like pitchers who get fired up.

people wouldnt shut up about how it was too early for me to draft prior.

"he's good, but not that good"

i built my staffs around him because i took him in the 2nd round of 2/3 leagues last year. the third league he was drafted ahead of me, because i was playing in a league with my friend's gf's litlte brother (what a bacon game of relation, eh?) and we talked draft strategy so i told him mine just to give him an idea.

so he took prior one pick before me.

nonetheless, i think zambrano is likely to go down with an injury at some point in the season, but i will definitely ride him til his arm falls off, thats for sure.

Who's place in the rotation you think he will take? Do you think the Cubs will let Clement go via free agency/trade?

Forget Sergio Mitre. Remember Angel Guzman instead. That's your next Cub starter.

yep, thehat knows his prospects. if he can recover from his surgery, he is a lot better then sergio. mitre i doubt will ever make it back into the rotation, the cubs have even more arms in the minors.

well sergio mitre was just a joke, though his hair isn't.

i think the cubs will likely keep clement if he's a 15+ game winner with an era under 3.5 and 200ish Ks. i mean, wouldn't you?

here's a guy who's been known to have good stuff for quite some time, he just hasn't been able to get it together. early reports are that he has it together this season, nah'mean?

I agree, but it doesn't seem like there will be much room for Mitre or Guzman in that rotation.
