How the hell did herges get a save, he came in with bases loaded and got the out but they were up by five. How does that constitute a save?

YOu get a save when a) the score is whithin 3 when you come in, b) the tying run is on deck c) you pitch 3+ quality innings when the game is still close.

HE qualified under rule B)
