In need of starting pitching with injuries to Javier Vazquez and Orlando Hernandez, the Montreal Expos traded Jim Brower and a player to be named Monday night to the San Francisco Giants for Livan Hernandez, El Duque's half brother, catcher Edwards Guzman and cash.

we will see what happens in the season with this trade...

Great trade. If Brower blows his arm out and the player to be named later dies of dissentary, then it's still a great trade. Livan is awful. The Giants didn't lose anything (except the $3+ million in cash). They did gain about 15 wins which would have been losses had that fat ass pitched another season in SF.

Do they play much golf in Montreal? I hear Livan swings a hell of a 5-iron.
