Indians activate Jimenez from DL

Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Indians Friday activated righthander Jose Jimenez from the 15-day disabled list.

Jimenez had been sidelined since April 12 with a strained left intercostals muscle. In four relief appearances this season for the Indians, Jimenez is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA.

Meanwhile, the club optioned pitcher Kazuhito Tadano to Triple-A Buffalo. Tadano went 0-0 with a 9.64 ERA in three games for Cleveland. It marked his first stint at the major league level.
