sledge...what's the scoop?

Sledge is worth a shot in deep leagues as a platoon player. He's an okay across the board type, nothing sensational. Figure .270, 10-15 HR, similar steals. He'll likely sit vs. most lefties, so only take him if you have roster flexibility to use him in a like fashion.

Side note...as usual, Sporting News is pretty much clueless. Sledge is not close to being the best prospect in the Montreal organization. He's already 27, and it's also important to note that he was one of the guys who tested positive for steroids during the Team USA tryouts last October. There are at least a half dozen Expos prospects with much higher ceilings.

yeah if our in a fairly deep league, take a shot at him, He going to be awesome in the future & he is starting now, juts cause hes on the expos he flies under the radar, If he was a Met they would be saying he's the greattest thing since sliced bread (in an anti met mood tonight)

Im actually going to pick him up myself for a lil boost, he got mved up to the 6 hole tonight & collected another 2 hits. Only thing is he is a lefty & sits vs lefties, but the lefty side usually sees 80% of th ab's

started off slowly (to say the least), something like 1 for 35. Has been hitting much better lately. if the expos offense gets going, he could be a good pick-up in deep leagues.

Here is my scoop on Termell...I drafted him in the 20th round...(adjusted)...in an NL only keeper money league...(5 keepers...23 players..no bench)....after the first week...I dropped him....I was able to pick him back up two days ago for an empty roster spot... :-?

unless your mixed league is really deep...I would look elsewhere... ;-)
