This is sounding more and more like the Burrell/Konerko talk taking place last season at this time

I was thinking the same thing, but Konerko and Burrell didnt have a viral infection either. I think he was not feeling well towards the beginning of the year and just getting readjusted, thats my opinion... it might have nothing to do with it though and he could be this years Burrell :-o

point noted but i have Klesko as my 1B so im def worried there.... also i know that if someones in this long of a slump theres theres an increasing probability of being a reason. but sometimes people just panik when a player is doing bad and he is moved down (or temporarily replaced in case of a weaker player) that they're willing to give the player up at throwaway prices (they see it as a sign that the team is accpeting the players decline and that hes doomed) and thats exactly what im looking for, no way im gonna give up anything near to what his value was preseason.

btw- another thing i wanna say about Burrell that he wasn't making any kind of contact in the 1st half while Konerko was making lots of hard outs. but like pibb noted neither of them had a viral infection.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

Huff looks like ass and is killing my 1B spot but I am not giving him away low at all. However, it seems like in alot of leagues people are giving him away for nothing or even dropping him. I am hoping the 6th spot gives him confidence and doesnt take it away... and that Pinella scares the viral infection out of him.

I turned down a Huff and Webb for Halladay, Greinke, and Floyd deal. I have Crede at 3B now but I thought giving up Halladay and a possible stud like Greinke was too much for Huff the way he's struggling.

I'm all for the 'buy low' concept but you also have to be careful that you're not trading for a bum.

Man, I have an offer on the table to send Cordero for Huff. Can't decide if I want to take the gamble.

I can also send Wagner for Giambi or maybe Teixeira and Chipper. Those might be a safer bets, but I need to gamble if my team is going to compete.

Austin Kearns, Aubrey Huff, definitely this year's Konerko's and Burrells. Who were 2002's Huff's and Kearns's though?

I just got Huff for almost nothing. I traded Carl Pavano for Huff straight up. I think he'll be fine this year and his 3B eligibility is a bonus. ;-D
