A's have no confidence in our god awful bullpen after the series of meltdowns
true but when your 22 year old pitcher goes 110 pitches and you still put him in the 8th..shows something ..even if the pen sucks. the a's are usually very careful w/ their pitchers and pitch counts.
Despite some rough starts, I've been very happy with Harden's pitching this year. I had him going in my 18 team league, and I'll start him against anyone. With Prior on the DL for a couple months I don't really have a choice, because I need IP to keep on track for the maximum. I'm just lucky I took a chance on Roger Clemens, cuz he's carrying my starters - he was supposed to be a bonus to Prior/Schilling, but he's turned out to be my ace.
