The hypocricy of the Spiderman outrage

I dont want to be tedous or annoying.....or maybe I do......Im still bothered by the logos on the on-deck circles and the rubber and plate even before the game. The crap that theyre giving away is ridiculous because it has nothing to do with the game at all.

btw, I wouldnt go to any of those games anyway because most/all oif them are interleague play and I dont support that in the least.
I know I am the ultimate baseball purist.

Quick question for those who don't like the Spiderman ads (and I'm probably in that camp myself): how do you feel about the planned logos promoting cancer awareness? Or how about commemorative World Series logos?

Personally I don't particularly like any type of advertisements on the bases or the playing field itself. I understand that Breast Cancer awareness is a good cause and something that people should be aware of, but I don't believe there's a place for it on the playing field. Pass out flyers or put an ad on the wall, but stay off the playing field.

As to the commemorative World Series logos, I don't see the point in doing that. The two teams are playing for World Series Rings and the right to declare themselves World Champions. The bases do not need to be "dressed up" for that in my opinion.
