I dunno if this is the right forum for this, but I'm gonna use it anyway.

Check this lineup out:

C- Lo Duca
1B - Giambi
2B - Vidro
3B - Koskie
SS - Cintron
OF - Bonds
OF - Hildago
OF - Huff (Floyd on the DL)
DH - Haffner.

Know how many RBIs they're averaging per day over the past two weeks?

2.4

Know how many runs?

3.4

That's right - that ENTIRE TEAM can generate only about 24 runs and 17 RBIs in an ENTIRE WEEK.

On average, that would put them on a pace for 61 runs and 44 RBIs each for the year.

If anyone else has an entire team in as dismal a slump as this, my condolences.

This Bonds thing is killing me. I traded Brian giles to get him and now all i get for Bonds are completely unspectacular numbers cause the guy is too good to play baseball. I ve never heard someone say that phrase before and it wouldnt make any sense to me before watching Bonds this season.

You can almost guarantee that he will take 3 out of 4 Sundays off each month. He almost never plays on Sundays.

I also think it's amusing how MLB.com had a big story on how Bonds was going to New York to play the Mets, and he has sat out every game so far... So much for the hype.

How many teams are in the league? I'm guessing it's big, say 16? If it's 12 or less, then I'd make some trades to upgrade your offense.

No, it's a 12 team league but with very knowelegable owners.

But do you honestly think that people like Giambi, Bonds, Hildago, Huff and so on are going to get 44 RBIs for the year?

I disagree that I should be making trades... Almost all those guys (with the exception of Lo Duca, Cintron and Vidro) should end up in the 90-120 RBI range. If I trade them I'd be trading away potential for something probably not that good. For example - if I was to trade Barry Bonds and Aubrey Huff, I probably wouldn't be able to get much more in return than Andru Jones and Hideki Matsui... and that would be a HORRIBLE trade in the long run (or should be). I'll ride the slump out, but it just sucks that my entire team is slumping together.

And a side note, this team drove in 36 week 1 and 32 in week 2... so they CAN do it... they're just haven't been for the past 3 weeks.

Look at my team...

C A. Pierzynski
1B M. Sweeney
2B M. Loretta
3B A. Ramírez
SS M. Tejada
OF B. Giles
OF I. Suzuki
OF J. Edmonds
Util R. Hidalgo
BN C. Jones
BN G. Anderson

SP M. Clement
SP M. Mussina
SP M. Buehrle
SP M. Mulder
RP A. Rhodes
RP D. Kolb
P T. Wakefield
P B. Looper
P A. Pettite
BN A. Eaton
DL M. Prior

Do you think this team should be in last place in a 10 team H2H league? I had a 9-2 lead over the guy I'm playing on Tuesday, now I am LOSING 9-2. Very frustrating, I think my team is real good to be honest. :-t

I wasn't suggesting that you trade your studs. I was suggesting that you upgrade your weaker players (LoDuca, Vidro, Koskie, Cintron, Haffner).

Here are a couple of teams to compare yours to:

C: Phillips
1B: Huff
2B: Kent
3B: Teixeira
SS: Jack Wilson (temporary until Nomar's return)
OF: Vlad
OF: Hidalgo
OF: H. Matsui
U: Juan Gonzalez

Plus Dave Roberts on the bench. Other than Phillips and the current playing of Jack Wilson, it's a fairly powerful lineup.

Here's another:

C: Posada
1B: Huff
2B: Soriano
3B: M. Cabrera
SS: Jeter
OF: B. Giles
OF: H. Matsui
OF: Green
U: Dave Roberts

Konerko on the bench in that one.

Both of those are 12 team leagues and both teams have a flaw here and there, but I'm in the process of upgrading my weaker spots. I was merely suggesting that you might want to do the same. Giambi/Bonds/Hidalgo/Huff is a good solid base for your hitting, but it never hurts to give them some extra help. :-)

Maybe this will make you feel better -- I'm changing my team's name to The Chronic Underachivers. Here's the staff on my team in a 12 team competitive keeper. I am DEAD LAST in every pitching category except saves and Ks.

I've never finished lower than 4th in a League before -- today I feel like the Tigers!

ERA 5.57 WHIP: 1.59
Clement (nice, thank God!)
Contreras
Kim (Pineiero when he was on the DL)

I never figured I'd be in 4th in a 5 team league with this team :~( (after one trade):

5 teams Roto 6x6
1350 IP limit
R HR RBI SB TB AVG
W SV SO ERA WHIP K/BB

My team:
C Pudge
1 Giambi
2 Soriano
3 A. Ramirez
SS A-Rod
IF M. Cabrera
OF Manny
OF Anderson
OF Huff
OF Berkman
Util Patterson
Bench Burrell
Bench Jeter
DL Reyes

SP Halladay Vazquez Mulder Oswalt Brown Webb Penny Sheets
RP Gagne Wagner Smoltz

My pitching is doing well in the ratios (2.82 ERA 1.13 ERA ;-D) and saves of course, but my hitting is bringing me down big time :-t.

Any suggestions?

Lo Duca - typical RBI numbers
Giambi - underperforming
Vidro - typical
Koskie - typical
Cintron - typical
Bonds - overperforming
Hidalgo - overperforming
Huff - underperforming
Hafner - typical

Your team started off really hot and has cool off but overall numbers look to be about right. Bonds being injured cost you some RBI's this week.
