Can i lose any offensive categories?

Assuming it's 5X5 then yes, you can lose 5 categories. It's just the way the game is. About the only category someone can assure themselves of winning is stolen bases, never feel safe you are going to win all 5.

I would say batting average is probably going to be a problem.

Hard to say what categories you can win or lose without knowing other teams line-ups. I'll just go by the assumption it's 5x5.

HR - Good chance with Piazza, Sweeney, Boone, Chavez, Sheff, Abreu and Palmeiro.

RBI - Again, a good chance with your line-up.

R - No reason why you wouldn't at least contend.

BA - Well Sheff, Abreu and Ichiro are remarkably consistant in this category, but I don't see you winning this.

SB - For all I know someone in your league could have Pierre, Podsednik and Beltran. You have a chance though with Ichiro and Furcal. ( This logic applies to every cat )

But like was already stated, it's basically a toss-up. You can basically ensure yourself to win SB by getting guys like Podsednik, Pierre, Crawford etc.

Anyway, I'd say you have a decent shot at winning at least 2-3 of those cats.

I had podsednik for the first month of the season i recently traded him away...im currently winning the SB category by 5SB's.

Ive made dramatic changes to my initial line up...and am ready for the rest of the season...with these guys in place.

My pitching staff is a lil right now, but i got the Save category on lock.

My AVG right now is currently right in the middle of the back... with a .275AVG. im top 3 in HR's ... 6th in Runs Scored and 6th in RBI's. But again, this is before all the dramatic changes ive made... VIA trade.

i think ive made the perfect trades offensively to compete for top 3 in all offensive categories.

Pitching is easy, full of suprises and sleepers...and i have some good core players to build around...but my pitching ratios right now are bad......that should improve over the course of the season
